چکیده

In this paper, an on-line signature verification scheme based on similarity measurement of logarithmic spectrum is proposed. The principal components of the logarithmic spectrum of each signature are extracted. We then compute the similarity of logarithmic spectrum between input signature and the reference template. By comparing the similarity of logarithmic spectrum with the verification threshold, we can determine the authenticity of the input signature. Based on the experimentation, the rates of false rejection errors and false acceptance errors are as low as 1.4 and 2.8%, respectively. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Active vision-based control schemes for autonomous navigation tasks

This paper deals with active-vision-based practical control schemes for collision avoidance as well as maintenance of clearance in a-priori unknown textured environments. These control schemes employ a visual motion cue, called the visual threat cue (VTC) as a sensory feedback signal to accomplish the desired tasks. The VTC provides some measure for a relative change in range as well as clearan...

Recognition of partially occluded objects using neural network based indexing

In this paper, a new neural network based indexing scheme has been proposed for recognition of planar shapes. Local contour segment-based-invariants have been used for indexing. Object contours have been obtained using a new algorithm which combines advantages of region growing and edge detection. Neighbourhood constraints have been applied on the results of indexing for combining hypotheses ge...

Faithful cross-media color matching using neural networks

Cross-media color matching is receiving a great deal of attention as a result of the increasing availability of color devices. The authors propose a practical approach to accurate color rendering, integrating colorimetric and interactive methods by means of feed-forward neural networks trained by back-propagation. This approach could substantially benefit CAD and multimedia systems, offering ac...
